The Gift of Togetherness: Family Christmas Eve Gift Box

Now that we have children, it’s  exciting to recreate the magic of Christmas from the nostalgia of our own childhoods. It’s been fun settling into our family traditions in the festive seasons and finding ways to encourage the gift of togetherness. Here are some of our traditions, and I would love to hear about yours! Tell in the comments below!

As a no waste alternative to Christmas cards, I love making Christmas biscuits with the girls. After being decorated with lots of love (and sugar), we pass these around to all our friends and family on the weeks leading up to Christmas!

By Christmas Eve, the excitement and buzz in the air has peaked. We can always be found with the fire on watching Christmas movies and reading Christmas stories with a blanket (or two), or preparing Christmas lunch and eating lots of Christmas treats (a favourite being hot chocolate with all the marshmallows Aila can fit in her mug).

This is why we created the Christmas family box. It is the perfect gift for any family, especially when you don't want to buy lots of little gifts. We wanted to make it easier to gift all your Christmas Eve essentials in one beautiful box to encourage togetherness, as that's what Christmas is all about.

This will be our first Christmas when all the girls will be of an age to play and be excited about father Christmas's visit (even if the twins won't quite understand what's going on). We will set up the living room for them to play with their toys (new and old), have a slow breakfast with family and fizz, then a walk on the beach seeing our friends and neighbours, before a nap and Christmas lunch back home! The best Christmas's for us are slow and easy, full of warmth, love and magic! What about yours? We love hearing from our community!
