This month, we are joined by Amy, otherwise known as fashion content creator @maimy_pea. Amy's Instagram is the perfect inspiration for your winter wardrobe with amazing layered outfits & windy beach shots aplenty.
Tell us a little about yourself!
Hello! I’m Amy, I’m a hairdresser by day and a content creator on the weekends. I live in Cumbria with my boyfriend Rob and our 4 cats! There’s never a dull moment in our house with 4 fur babes around, when I’m not creating content on the weekends you’ll find me walking around the lakes or creating a cocktail or two in the kitchen.
I love being creative and bringing joy to people, both of my jobs suit me down to a tee! There’s no better feeling than making someone feel amazing in the chair! Plus I love chatting!! The girls always say the salon is quiet when I’m off hehe!
Can you describe your personal style in three words?
I never know to describe my style, as i like a bit of everything. I find pure joy in vintage shopping! Finding that special piece that has so many stories to tell. Oh! Oversized is totally my jam & chunky knits are a firm favourite at the moment for staying warm and cosy this season.
I love colour as much as I love neutrals and putting outfits together out of my overflowing wardrobe! One day I want to be in a big floaty dress, the next a good pair of cords and a cozy knit! The thing with fashion is to have fun with it & anything goes!
What is your go-to winter outfit for this season and why?
A Satin skirt layered with a chunky knit has been my go to outfit so far this winter. I love that the skirt is quite dressy but wearing it with a chunky knit and boots or trainers gives it that casual feel & of course as it gets colder I’ll be popping a pair of tights on underneath to keep off the chill. Oh and a maxi coat, I recently picked up a vintage one and I just know I’ll treasure it forever. I’d definitely say to add one to your wardrobe!
Do you have a favourite TBCo. product? How would you style it?
Oh yes! My favourite TBCo product has to be my Lambswool Oversized Scarf. I have it in the Red Houndstooth and it’s just perfect. I’ve worn it so much since it’s landed!
I’ve been styling it up with my maxi coats and my shorter ones too! And popping on a coloured beanie for good measure to complete the look. It’s the perfect layering piece and it’s so warm!
What does the phrase ‘share warmth’ make you think of?
Shared warmth - I had a lovely feeling of this last weekend a small group of us climbed a fell, it was a glorious sunny crisp day… it was a steep climb but unbelievably amazing once we got to the top, and was such a sense of achievement that we were all in the climb together cheering each other on as we climbed to the top. We finished off in a country pub eating and chatting and in the moment life just felt so content. Good people, good food, good times. It’s the little moments like that, that make you feel all warm & fuzzy inside. Now, if only the pub had popped the fire on, that would have been perfect.
Shared warmth for me is sharing all the little things with the people you love!
